Caroline is a Director at Metro Dynamics.
Before joining Metro Dynamics, Caroline worked for many years as a political and economic advisor and as a consultant, latterly as a Director at KPMG. She trained as a quantitative economist and started her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York building bank portfolio simulation models. Since then Caroline has spent many years working across the public and private sectors to originate innovative economic and funding models. This includes time spent at the No 10 Strategy Unit, as a Specialist Advisor to four Secretaries of State at the DWP and as an economic advisor to George Osborne, the UK Chancellor.
Caroline currently advises a number of cities in the UK and globally on economic growth. In 2015, whilst at KPMG, she authored a book called Magnet Cities that unpicks the drivers of urban economic renewal. She has also worked with a number of local authorities on the commercialisation of assets and access to alternative sources of funds. Caroline is an advisor on the MSc in Urban Sustainability at the University of Oxford and lectures regularly on theories of economic growth in cities.
